Use of Graphics & Color

• Not everyone has a cable modem!

  • Graphics can take a long time to download, try to keep images under 5K and don’t put too many on each page
  • Spread them out if you have a lot of images
  • Thumbnails are a good idea

• Keep background images simple

  • Background images get tiled - A huge background image is usually not necessary
  • If you use one large (wide) image, make sure it doesn't wrap (make it at least 1600 pixels wide)
